This is the format I would suggest a for an Online Training System (OTS).
Using video, text and even simulators (not aircraft but system simulators) I could build a module based system. Each module would represent a subject in the course, similar to a chapter. Creating a OTS will not be difficult, using existing training material will make building the site a matter of establishing a format and simply inserting the information in the correct places within the system.
Here is my idea for an OTS for both fleets:
1. Each subject of training will be broken into a Module, similar to what is on the website. http://www.FirstNFlight.com
2. Each module will have 4 components as follows,
-a.) Video or Audio lecture that must be viewed or heard.
-b.) PDF study guide for review Downloadable and printable aprx 8-10 pages with color graphics
-c.) A 10-question T/F quiz used to help the pilot assess their knowledge in the subject. This is not a test, but instead a self- assessment which will help the pilot identifies any weaknesses in a subject aera.
-d.) Final Test Multiple choice and T/F must be passed to finish the module and progress to the next.
Pilots can access modules in any order, but once started it must be completed before progressing to the next. Once the pilot has completed all the modules they would then be sent (or a link made available) a certificate of completion that would be signed and sent to the company. Because the completion certificate would only be avaible after passing all modules, there would be no question that the pilot attended the course in its entirety.
